In the merry-ol'-land of Antarctica, there is not much color. Much of the existing color is hidden away behind dorm rooms or cooked out of the food. However, the Rec Board (the overflowing gigantic cork board of all things fun and interesting) is really quite colorful, even if I'm not immediately drawn toward fluorescent orange, I appreciate its bold and daring nature.

Just recently, an article written about recreation in Antarctica was forwarded to me. The first time I read it, I didn't realize it was written in 1985, which I find exceedingly fascinating as so much of the article is still relevant. However, we have a far better and a truly amazing selection of recreation activities here at McMurdo, the South Pole Station may still be another story.
