Yellow! Stipes! Knitting! And a Sheep.

Yes, yes, I still enjoy knitting. I'm always working on a few projects and have been making mad progress with the bouts of insomnia that seem to be going around station this time of the season.

I recently completed these fun light green and brown striped, long wristies:

And ANOTHER yellow hat!

A closer view of the chunky top knot.

While I was in Christchurch for R&R, I bought some more YELLOW yarn, because, well, I was rather fond of it and it said to me, "Hey there, I am nice, and yellow." This little hat is the result. I made a long i-cord for the top and tied it into a chunky knot. As a nice little finish, I crocheted an off-white edging along the bottom to give it a more snug fit.

Finally, while poking around the craft room one afternoon (as it's almost like Skua in that things appear and disappear suddenly) I found a small cross-stitch kit that incorporated beads and makes a nice little pin.

Obviously I created a little McMurdo humor to accompany the pin...which means I'm keeping busy and having fun too!
